MuftAI is an independent directory of free AI tools. We do not sell AI tools and we do not accept payment for placement.
What MuftAI does
MuftAI tracks free AI tools across six categories — video, image, text, audio, code and open models — and publishes a factual page for each one. Every page states what is genuinely free, what is not, and when the information was last checked.
Why we only cover free tools
Almost every AI tool has a paid tier. That is not the useful question. The useful question is what you can get today, without a card — and the honest answer changes every few weeks.
So that is the only question we try to answer. If a tool's free tier is a trial with a card requirement and an auto-renewal hidden in the small print, we say so on the page rather than listing it as "free".
How a tool gets listed
We start from official provider documentation, not from marketing claims. A tool has to have a free tier a reader can actually reach today, and the limitation has to be describable in one honest sentence. Tools with no usable free tier are not listed, however popular they are. The full criteria are in the editorial policy.
How we verify a free-tier claim
For each listing we read the provider's current free allowance on their own pricing and help pages, record the figure, and date it.
Where a number comes from the provider's own marketing rather than independent testing, we attribute it explicitly instead of presenting it as verified fact. Where we could not confirm something, the page says so.
Free tiers in this category change frequently. A dated figure is a snapshot, not a guarantee — always confirm on the official site before you rely on it.

Editorial independence
Advertising and affiliate relationships do not decide what we list or what we conclude. Some outbound links earn us a commission, and our affiliate disclosure explains exactly how. A paid plan never becomes a "free" listing because it pays us.
How we use AI
AI assists with drafting, formatting and structure. It does not make editorial decisions, verify claims, or decide which tools we recommend. Our AI content disclosure sets out the detail, our editorial policy sets out the process, and every page carries a named author and a verification date.
Corrections
If a listing is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it. Contact us with the page URL and what you are seeing on the official site. We treat pricing errors as priority, because they cost readers money.
